About
figureslk is a free, public, non-commercial service that tracks Sri Lanka's economic and development indicators from the year 2000 to today, and explains each one in plain language in Sinhala, English and Tamil.
How it works
The data is collected from public sources — chiefly the World Bank, the International Monetary Fund, the UNDP, the Central Bank of Sri Lanka and the Department of Census and Statistics. Figures are updated monthly and each may be revised as sources publish corrections. See the full list on the Data sources page.
How to read the ratings
Each indicator is rated Good, Watch or Concern against documented thresholds drawn from recognised references (for example the IMF, CBSL and UNDP). Thresholds for developing economies are indicative, not hard rules.
About the forecasts
Where available we show official projections (IMF, World Bank, ADB, CBSL) alongside a simple statistical trend computed by this site. The statistical trend is not a prediction of what will happen; forecasts are uncertain, and nothing on this site is financial advice.
Disclaimer
Figures are compiled from public sources and may be revised. Not financial advice.
